Since it won one of 'Australia's Best Car Awards' recently, the all new Mondeo is starting to draw considerable interest from many new car buyers. Between the many stylish options, it would seem that two choices stand out and deserve mention here.
The first is the award winning TDCi which, if you are unfamiliar with the terminology, is actually a diesel powered model that out performs many petrol engines of comparable (or even larger) capacity. Up until recently in Australia, the suggestion of a diesel engine in a luxury motor car could have been met with some fairly solid resistance (don't they power tractors with diesel?) however 'oils ain't oils' and now diesels do in fact out perform many of their petrol counterparts. The Mondeo TDCi is living proof and we are confident you will be more than a little impressed.
The other Mondeo to be attracting quite a lot of interest is the XR5 - it is powered by the same engine as that which powers its fire breathing brother the Ford Focus XR5 however in the Mondeo, the 5 cylinder Turbo becomes more refined, less frantic - it is a very good match which is making it difficult for some to decide which model they want.
